This Privacy Policy explains how Raisefree PBC ("Raisefree," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you access or use www.raisefree.com and related pages, subdomains, widgets, APIs, and mobile experiences (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy should be read with our Terms of Use.

1) INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information that you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

A. Information you provide
Account details (name, email, phone, login information); campaign details (content, beneficiary details, images/videos, updates); contribution details (amount, message, receipt preference if any); communications (support requests, feedback); verification details where required (ID/organization/bank details), which may be collected by Payment Partners or Partner Entities.

B. Information collected automatically
Device and usage data (IP address, browser/device info, pages viewed, interactions); approximate location derived from IP address; cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies (see Section 4).

C. Information from third parties
Payment Partners (transaction status, settlement/chargeback signals, limited payer info); Partner Entities (verification/compliance outcomes; designated charitable/tax program status); analytics and advertising partners (cookie IDs, conversion events, performance data).

2) HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to: operate the Platform (accounts, campaigns, contributions, support); enable payments and compliance workflows with Payment Partners/Partner Entities; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents and enforce our Terms; communicate with you (service updates, support messages); improve features, analytics, and user experience; and conduct marketing and advertising (including retargeting), subject to applicable law and your cookie preferences.

3) HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may share information with: Payment Partners to process transactions and manage risk; Partner Entities (e.g., Crowdera Foundation in India) for payment enablement, compliance workflows, and designated charitable/tax-receipting programs; service providers (hosting, email, customer support, fraud prevention, analytics); advertising/analytics partners (via cookies/pixels/SDKs for marketing, measurement, and retargeting); legal/regulatory authorities where required and to protect Raisefree and users; and parties to a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing), subject to standard protections.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

4) COOKIES AND MARKETING (INCLUDING RETARGETING)

We use cookies and similar technologies for: essential functions (security, login); preferences and performance; analytics; and advertising/marketing, including retargeting and conversion measurement.

You can manage your cookie preferences through our cookie banner/preference center (where available) and through your browser/device settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality. Where required by law, we seek consent for non-essential cookies.

5) INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Raisefree is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Raisefree, Payment Partners, Partner Entities, and service providers operate, subject to applicable law and safeguards.

6) DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY

We retain information as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect users. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.

7) YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your data, and to opt out of marketing emails. Use unsubscribe links in emails or contact us to make a request. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

8) INDIA ADDENDUM (PAYMENT ENABLEMENT AND DESIGNATED PROGRAMS)

For India-based campaigns, Raisefree may share limited account, campaign, contribution, verification, and compliance-related information with authorized Payment Partners and Crowdera Foundation (India) where needed for payment enablement, compliance workflows, or designated charitable/tax-receipting programs. These parties may process data under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

9) UPDATES; CONTACT

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting an updated version on the Platform with a new "Last Updated" date.
