The only costs are standard payment processing fees charged by our payment partner (Stripe), which applies to every online transaction everywhere. We are a Public Benefit Corporation committed to keeping crowdfunding free and accessible for everyone.

Payment processing fees are charged by our payment partner (Stripe) to securely handle credit card and digital wallet transactions. These fees exist on every platform that accepts online payments — the difference is that Raisefree adds nothing on top. For U.S. domestic transactions, the rate is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Nonprofits qualify for a reduced rate of 2.2% + $0.30.

Registered 501(c)(3) organizations and verified charities automatically qualify for the reduced nonprofit processing rate of 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction. During campaign setup, you simply verify your nonprofit status and upload your EIN (Employer Identification Number). Our team verifies the information, usually within 24 hours.

The Global Campaigns rate of 4.75% + $0.30 includes international currency conversion fees charged by Stripe. When donors contribute in one currency and you receive funds in another, there is an additional conversion cost. This is still significantly lower than what most platforms charge for international campaigns, and Raisefree adds zero on top of the actual processing cost.

No. Unlike other platforms that prompt donors to add a "tip" or "platform contribution" on top of their donation, Raisefree never asks donors for tips or surcharges. When someone donates $100, that full $100 goes to the campaign (minus only the standard payment processing fee, which is handled on the fundraiser's side).

Funds are typically available for withdrawal within 3-7 business days after each donation is received. There is no waiting until your campaign ends — you can access funds as they come in. Payouts are processed securely through Stripe directly to your connected bank account.

Absolutely not. There are no monthly fees, annual subscriptions, setup fees, or hidden charges of any kind. You only pay the standard payment processing fee when a donation is actually made. If no one donates, you pay nothing. It is that simple.

We sustain ourselves through optional premium services for organizations (like advanced analytics, white-label solutions, and API access), enterprise partnerships, and voluntary contributions from supporters who believe in our mission. The core crowdfunding platform will always remain free.
